Oral Cancer Screenings detect cancerous and precancerous conditions in patients. The doctor will examine your mouth for any red or white patches or any unusual sores on your lips, tongue, or the inside of your mouth. Abnormalities that have not cleared after two to three weeks should be examined. Smoking and heavy alcohol use are underlying risk factors for oral cancer. Our doctor can get a precise picture of your teeth and oral structures with minimal radiation. The images are transferred to our computer screen where the dentist can show you exactly what is going on inside your mouth. Digital x-rays are faster because the images are digital, safer and environmentally friendly.
